First Workshop on Architectures, Services and Applications for the Next Generation Internet

July 17th 2008, Karlsruhe, Schloss Karlsruhe

Pictures and impressions of the workshop can be found in the Gallery.

Although there is a clear trend towards a Next Generation Internet, the transition from nowadays solution to the future Internet raises many important questions, which are of concern to both industry and academia. For instance, the cost of deploying new applications is tightly coupled with identifying the Internet services which will need to be provided in the future. How can such services already be used nowadays even though they may be integral part only of the Next Generation Internet? What can be done to enhance the scalability of such services? This workshop will provide a platform to familiarize and share ideas on trends, visions as well as approaches for the Next Generation Internet.
